Joint research project with Corning Inc

Prof. Liu's group is teaming up with Corning lnc to research on triboelectric behavior of glass materials, which is important for the manufacturing and functionalities of glass products, with data-driven scanning probe microscopic approach.

New Atomic Force Microscopy arrived!

Our new Park FX40 Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) has been set up! The equipment is a powerful tool of studying nanoscale phenomenon of materials, which is featured with automatic probe installation, laser and PSD alignment, along with multifunctional capabilities such as atmosphere control, solid/liquid phase imaging, cooling/heating, nanomechanics, electrostatic force microscopy, magnetitic force microscopy with field generator, Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM), conductive-AFM (C-AFM), scanning thermal microscopy (SThM), etc.

Prof. Liu won SONY Research Award

Prof. Jun Liu and Prof. Tian Li (Purdue University) has won a research award from SONY. In the sponsored project, the joint team will be developing self-powered smart textile materials for future human-machine interfaces.
