Upon the first year of successful collaboration with Corning Corporation, Dr. Liu's lab will continue their joint project with Corning for the second year, with a focus on nanoscopic study of charging behaviors of Corning glass products. Research funding will be provided by Corning as well as New York State.

In collaboration with Prof. Tian Li from Purdue University, we have published a new work in Advanced Science on self-powered E-textile. The new technology is expected to be revolutionary for providing high-efficient DC power to wearable electronics. It can also be applied for human motion monitoring and future robotics tactile sensing.
Vashin Gautham Nanjangud Thyagaraja, a graduate student of the group, has successfully defended his MS degree in this May. He will continue his research as a PhD student in the group in the coming semester.
